Lets pick a style, or look into some styles.

When given a sheet with various illustrators on at the beginning of the module, I made it my mission to go through each one, to find good looking, and unique styles of illustration. And I did actually find some that I personally found quite interesting and visual pleasing to the eye.

The first lad i stumbled across on my travels through the internet was, Frank Stockton. This bloke I found to have a very detailed style of illustration.Through his website (http://www.frankstockton.com/) I could see his first sketches, on what he built up from to make his final designs. the sketches were good, but where his unique touch comes into play is the amount of detail on the facial features of his work. The amount of detail did dazzle me, and because most of his illustrations include people, the detail is needed, but Frank Stockton seems to put as much detail into them as possible, which can be seen in his work.

Another one that grabbed my attention from looking through his work was some German kid called Silke Werzinger. Now a lot of illustrators can be classed as unique and claim to have there own style, but this kid I found to be very one of a kind in style. I personally have never seen another style quite like this. Although because of his sketchy pen doodles style I think that other people wouldn't share the appreciation I have for his work. I think others may see it as lazy because they do literally look like theyve been done in the back of a maths book, but what draws me into them, is the detail to his creations.

Why I like his work and style so much is because of how I feel I can relate to his work, with the sketches I do on my note pad to pass the time away and cure my boredom. Maybe this is the way he started out, boredem got the better of him.
